Description
This is a purple selector switch for Glock platforms, designed for builders who want to add a functional, ambidextrous control point to their frame. It provides a positive, tactile selector for custom builds, particularly popular with those running aftermarket frames or competition setups. Since we added it to our inventory in summer 2025, it’s consistently been a top seller and a regular reorder item for us.
What Makes It Stand Out
- Vibrant Purple Finish: A durable, anodized purple coating that provides both distinctive looks and corrosion resistance.
- Ambidextrous Design: Allows for easy activation from either side of the frame, improving ergonomics for all shooters.
- Positive Detent Engagement: Engineered for a crisp, definitive click between positions to prevent accidental movement.
- Machined from 6061 Aluminum: Offers a great balance of lightweight strength without adding unnecessary bulk to your build.
- Direct Drop-In for Most Frames: Designed to interface with standard Glock-style frame cuts and pins with minimal fitting required.

Common Questions
Is this a functional safety selector?
No. This is a selector switch, not a safety. It does not mechanically block the trigger or sear. Its function is primarily for user-defined control points, such as activating a laser or light, or as a manual hold-open device on certain custom builds. Always confirm your firearm’s safety status independently.
Will this work on a Polymer80 frame?
Yes, it is designed to work with standard Glock-style frame cuts, which include most Polymer80 models. Installation is typically straightforward, but as with any aftermarket part, minor fitting or frame modification might be necessary for optimal function depending on your specific frame’s tolerances.
What tools are needed for installation?
Basic gunsmithing tools: a set of punches, a small hammer, and armorer’s blocks for the frame are recommended. You may also need a file or sandpaper for minor fitting, especially if installing on a Gen4 frame. The process is similar to installing other frame-mounted controls.
