What Makes It Stand Out
This isn’t just another pistol on a shelf. This is a Polymer80 PFC9, delivered to you as a complete, ready-to-shoot firearm. The combination of a factory-installed threaded barrel and high-visibility night sights straight out of the box is a setup we typically see builders piece together over time. Having handled this exact model in our warehouse, the fit and finish is consistent and solid. The slide-to-frame fit has a satisfying, precise feel, and the machining on the threaded barrel crown is clean. It’s a package that saves you the hunt for compatible parts and the gunsmithing time to install them. We had a customer drive three hours to pick one of these up instead of waiting for shipping, and after building and testing it ourselves, we understand why.

What We Like & Don’t
✅ The Pros:
- Arrives Ready for a Suppressor or Comp: The 1/2×28 threaded barrel is properly installed and timed. You’re not paying extra for a part you then have to fit.
- Night Sights That Actually Work: The tritium/vial inserts are bright and provide a fast sight picture in low light. This is a major step up from standard plastic sights.
- Superior Grip & Feel: The Polymer80 frame’s texture is more aggressive than a standard grip, and the undercut trigger guard allows for a higher, more controlled hold. We’ve found this makes a noticeable difference in managing recoil.
- No Assembly Required: It’s a complete, serialized firearm. You can take it to the range immediately after your background check. This is perfect for someone who wants the P80 ergonomics without the build process.
- Proven Reliability in Our Sales: With a 4.9/5 satisfaction rating across 43 buyers, our customers report reliable function with a wide range of 9mm ammunition. It’s become a steady seller for a reason.
❌ The Cons:
- Magazine Capacity: The included 10-round magazine is for compliance, but it limits capacity for those in free states. You will likely want to purchase standard-capacity magazines separately if legally permitted.
- Thread Protector: The included thread protector is basic. If you plan to run a muzzle device regularly, you may want to upgrade to a sealed or indexed protector.
- Price Point: It sits at a higher price than a barebones striker-fired pistol. You’re paying for the upgraded features upfront.
Is This Right for You?
Buy this PFC9 if: You want a modern, ergonomic pistol that’s ready for a suppressor or compensator right out of the box. You appreciate the benefits of night sights from day one. You like the customization potential of the P80/Glock platform but don’t want to source parts and assemble them yourself. You’re looking for a reliable, optics-ready (slide is cut for common footprints) home defense or duty pistol with immediate upgrade potential.
Skip this PFC9 if: You are on a very tight budget and a standard, no-frills pistol meets all your needs. You live in a state where threaded barrels are restricted (check your local laws). You specifically enjoy the process of building a firearm from a parts kit. You need a pistol with a manual safety.
Common Questions
Is this a fully assembled, ready-to-fire pistol?
Yes. This is a complete, serialized firearm from Polymer80. It requires an FFL transfer and background check, but no assembly is needed. It comes with a magazine and is ready for the range.
What is the thread pitch on the barrel?
The barrel is threaded 1/2×28, which is the standard and most common thread pitch for 9mm pistol muzzle devices like suppressors, compensators, and thread protectors.
Are the night sights bright?
Yes. In our handling, the tritium vials in the steel sights are clearly visible in low-light conditions. They provide a standard three-dot sight picture for fast alignment.
Will it accept Glock magazines?
Yes. The PFC9 frame is compatible with Glock 19 Gen 3 magazines. The pistol ships with a 10-round compliant magazine, but it will function with standard Glock 19 magazines (15-round) where legally allowed.
Is the slide optics-ready?
Yes. The slide is cut from the factory to accept a variety of popular micro red dot optics (RMRcc footprint). You will need to purchase the appropriate mounting plate for your specific optic model.
Where can I buy P80 online?
You’re already at a great source. We at Polymer80Builds are an authorized retailer, and we physically inspect our inventory. We’ve sold over 144 of these since early 2025 and ship quickly from Oregon with plain packaging.
How does it handle recoil?
The combination of the aggressive frame texture, undercut trigger guard, and the pistol’s overall balance makes recoil management very manageable. Our testing with various 9mm loads showed quick, controllable follow-up shots.
