What Makes It Stand Out
This isn’t just another pistol on a shelf. The P80 PFC9 OCS in Flat Dark Earth represents a specific philosophy: a factory-complete firearm built on the proven, user-familiar Polymer80 platform. From our bench, the appeal is clear. You get the ergonomic benefits and customization potential of the P80 frame, paired with a fully assembled and function-checked slide assembly. We added this model to our offerings in early 2024 based on consistent positive feedback from the manufacturer, and our own testing confirmed it delivers build quality that meets or often exceeds expectations for the price. It’s a straightforward, no-nonsense pistol that works right out of the case.

What We Like & Don’t
✅ The Pros:
- Out-of-Box Readiness: This is the biggest advantage. It’s serialized, assembled, and test-fired. You don’t need a jig, drill press, or hours of fitting. Our customers report taking it directly to the range with zero issues.
- Included Optics Cut: The OCS slide is a significant value-add. Having the RMSc footprint milled and ready from the factory saves $100-$150 versus sending a slide out later.
- Proven P80 Ergonomics: You get the excellent, customizable grip angle and aggressive texturing of the Polymer80 frame, which many shooters prefer over stock options.
- Solid Build Quality: In our hands-on inspection, the slide-to-frame fit is tight and consistent, and the Cerakote finish is even. It matches the quality we expect from Polymer80’s reputation.
- Strong Track Record: With a 4.7/5 satisfaction rating across 32 of our buyers, this model has proven itself reliable and well-liked by our community.
❌ The Cons:
- Gen4 Magazine Fit: A minor note from our staff: When using Gen4 magazines (as opposed to Gen3 or Gen5), the fit in the mag well can feel slightly tighter. It’s not a functional issue—they insert, lock, and drop free—but it’s a tactile difference you might notice.
- Basic Sights: The included 3-dot steel sights are functional but basic. Most serious shooters will plan to upgrade to night sights or a fiber optic front post.
- RMSc Footprint Limitation: The optics cut is specific to the RMSc pattern. If your heart is set on a Holosun K-series or Trijicon RMRcc, you’ll need an adapter plate.
Is This Right for You?
Buy this P80 PFC9 OCS if: You want the ergonomics and platform of a Polymer80 but don’t have the time, tools, or desire to build one from a kit. You appreciate the value of a factory-installed optics cut and a full warranty. You’re looking for a reliable, no-fuss compact 9mm that’s ready for a red dot right now.
Skip it and consider a build kit if: You enjoy the hands-on process of building your own firearm as a project. You want to hand-select every component (trigger, barrel, etc.) from the start. Your preferred optic uses a footprint other than RMSc and you don’t want to use an adapter plate.
Common Questions
Is this a fully assembled, ready-to-shoot pistol?
Yes. Unlike an 80% kit, this is a serialized, factory-complete firearm. It requires no drilling, milling, or assembly of major components. It ships ready to field strip, clean, lubricate, and fire.
What optics fit the OCS slide?
The slide is cut for the RMSc (also called Shield SMSc) footprint. This includes popular micro red dots like the Shield RMSc, Sig Sauer Romeo Zero, and the Springfield Hex Wasp. Optics like the Holosun 407K/507K will require a thin adapter plate.
What generation Glock parts are compatible?
The PFC9 frame is designed for Gen 3 Glock® components. This means Gen 3 slides, barrels, triggers, and magazines will be compatible. Gen 4 and Gen 5 magazines work but may have the slightly tighter fit we noted. Gen 4/5 slides are not compatible.
How does reliability compare to other pistols?
In our experience and based on consistent customer feedback scoring it 4.7/5, this complete PFC9 demonstrates reliability on par with other factory-produced polymer-frame pistols in its class. Using quality ammunition and proper maintenance, it runs well.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes. As a factory-complete firearm from Polymer80, it is covered by their manufacturer’s warranty. Be sure to retain your purchase documentation.
Where can I buy P80 online?
