What Makes It Stand Out
Let’s be straight about the P80 PFS9 Complete Pistol in Black FDE. This isn’t just another item on a shelf for us. We’ve unboxed these, inspected the machining, and felt the construction in our hands. What you’re getting is a factory-assembled, serialized pistol built on Polymer80’s proven platform. It delivers the modularity and customization potential builders want, without requiring the assembly work. In our testing, the fit and finish is exactly what the manufacturer advertises—consistent, durable, and well-machined. The two-tone Black and Flat Dark Earth (FDE) isn’t just for looks; it’s a practical, low-glare finish that holds up. We’ve found it to be a solid option for someone who appreciates the P80 ergonomics but wants a ready-to-shoot firearm out of the box.

How It Compares
Here’s a quick look at how the P80 PFS9 stacks up against two other popular options in a similar space, based on our hands-on experience.
| Feature | P80 PFS9 Complete | Competitor A (OEM Glock Clone) | Competitor B (Budget Striker-Fired) |

| Ergonomics (Our Take) | Superior grip angle & texture | Standard | Bulky or basic |
What We Like & Don’t
After handling these and listening to feedback from the 18 buyers in our shop who’ve rated it 4.5 out of 5, here’s our honest breakdown.
✅ The Pros:
- Ready to Roll: It’s a complete, serialized pistol. No building, no fussing with pins or rails. Check your local laws, head to the range.
- P80 Ergonomics: The grip angle and aggressive texture are, in my opinion, a significant upgrade over a standard frame for control and comfort.
- Proven Platform: Built on the Gen 3 Glock pattern. The aftermarket for slides, barrels, and triggers is massive and affordable.
- Solid Construction: From our inspection, the slide machining is clean, and the polymer frame feels just as durable as any we’ve handled. No flex or creaking.
- Solid Value: For the price, you get a feature set that often costs more elsewhere, especially when you factor in the customization-ready platform.
❌ The Cons:
- Magazine Fit Note: One thing our staff has observed: some Gen 4 magazines can have a slightly tighter fit in the mag well compared to Gen 5. It’s not a functional issue—they seat and drop free—but you can feel the difference.
- Sights are Basic: The fixed 3-dot sights work, but they’re a plastic polymer. Most serious shooters will want to upgrade to metal night sights or a optic-ready slide eventually.
- Accessory Rail: It uses a proprietary P80 accessory rail, not a universal Picatinny. Your light/laser options are good but not infinite.
Is This Right for You?
Buy it if: You want the ergonomic benefits and customization potential of the Polymer80 platform without the build process. You’re looking for a reliable, accurate 9mm that serves as a perfect foundation for future upgrades. You appreciate a distinct two-tone look that’s also practical.
Skip it if: You demand a universal Picatinny rail for accessories right out of the gate. You’re looking for the absolute lowest-priced striker-fired pistol and have no interest in modifying it later. You prefer the feel of a traditional grip angle.
Common Questions
Is this a “build kit” or a complete firearm?
This is a complete, serialized firearm. It requires no assembly. It is shipped to your chosen FFL for transfer, just like any other factory pistol.
What generation Glock parts are compatible?
The PFS9 is based on the Gen 3 Glock pattern. The vast majority of aftermarket slides, barrels, triggers, and internal parts for Gen 3 models will be compatible. As noted, our staff has observed Gen 4 magazines fit but can be slightly tighter.
Does it come with sights installed?
Yes, it comes from the factory with polymer 3-dot sights installed and zeroed.
What’s included in the box?
You get the complete pistol, one 17-round magazine, a cable lock, and the owner’s manual.
How does it shoot?
Based on our handling and consistent customer feedback, it’s reliable and accurate. The trigger has a clean break and reset. The 4.5/5 satisfaction rating from our buyers speaks to its performance.
Where can I buy P80 online?
You’re in the right place. Polymer80Builds is an authorized retailer. We stock this model and ship quickly from our warehouse in Medford, Oregon.
Can I change the backstraps?
No, the P80 frame is a single, integral piece. The ergonomics are designed into the frame itself, which many shooters prefer over modular backstraps.
