Description
The New Enhanced Reset Trigger – RARE BREED FRT 15 E3 is a drop-in, forced reset trigger designed for builders who want a reliable, consistent, and fast-firing experience. It’s built for the AR-15 platform and eliminates the need for a binary or full-auto sear. Since we started stocking this in spring 2025, it’s become a top choice for repeat customers who value its predictable performance. The key benefit is its consistent, rapid reset that feels the same every time you pull.
What Makes It Stand Out
- Enhanced Reset Mechanism: The E3 update refines the forced reset for a smoother, more consistent pull and faster lock time between shots.
- True Drop-In Fit: Our staff’s note says it all: “Drop-in fit on every frame we tested. No fitting required.” It installs with standard pins.
- Predictable Performance: Engineered for a consistent break and reset, shot after shot, without the variability of some other forced reset designs.
- Robust Construction: Machined from hardened steel and aluminum components to handle high round counts and maintain timing.
- Simplified Design: Fewer small parts than some competitors, making it easier to understand, install, and maintain.

Common Questions
Is this a binary trigger or a full-auto sear?
No. This is a forced reset trigger (FRT). It uses a mechanical mechanism to automatically reset the trigger to the forward position after each shot, but it requires a complete release and repull of the trigger to fire the next round. It is not a machine gun or a device that fires more than one round with a single function of the trigger.
Will this work in my Polymer80 lower receiver?
Yes. We have tested it in multiple Polymer80 frames and other mil-spec AR-15 lower receivers. It functions as a true drop-in unit with standard fire control group pins. No modification to your lower is required for installation.
What maintenance does it need?
Like any precision trigger, keep it clean and lightly lubricated. The mechanism benefits from a drop of oil on the moving contact surfaces and pivot points after extended use. Avoid excessive grease or dirt buildup inside the fire control group area.
